Kimberly
Frelow created the Splatt Smock after she and her husband Bret,
were constantly besieged with carrots, pears, yams, applesauce and
other “unmentionable” baby surprises. After the birth
of her son Kyle, she realized lounging in an old sweatshirt or T-shirt
was not the answer to keeping her clothes stain-free.
After an endless search for a soft cover-up that would
allow her to continue cuddling and bonding with her baby, she decided
to create the Splatt Smock; a super soft stylish terry cloth smock
that is highly absorbent.
The Splatt Smock serves a multi-purpose, it allows
baby a space to comfortably rest on mommy or daddy with a barrier
between baby’s skin and the elements that settle on clothes,
all while keeping mommy’s clothes protected from any
“baby surprises.”
Relatively new to the marketplace, the Splatt
Smock debuted at the Baby Celebration show in Los Angeles and was
well received by over 10,000 (mostly pregnant) consumers.
It was also featured in the spring issue of LA Parent Baby Magazine.
